Elisa Paloschi - Tuscany Photo tour

UMBRIA & TUSCANY & ROME a PHOTOGRAPHIC TOUR
with Elisa Paloschi
May 2016
Six Photographers, 9 nights

Overview
This tour promises you much photographic diversity, creative growth and a sampling of some of Italy’s finest food and wine. Picture yourself immersed in the beauty of Central Italy where the early Fall light yellows and softens, the shadows lengthen and the deep purple and brilliant green grapes burst with life. This amazing area of land, people and edgy metropolis is rich in artistic history. Tuscany is home to some of the world’s most influential people of arts and culture such as Dante, Michelangelo and Leonard da Vinci, it is said to be the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. While Rome is home to the Roman Empire and one of the birthplaces of western civilization, the city boasts both ancient history, and modern bustle. Umbria, which is considered to be Italy’s green heart is Italy’s most rural region, and is considered to be Tuscany’s wild cousin with jagged rock formations and snow-capped peaks. The birthplace of St. Francis makes Umbria Italy’s mystical heart as well, and this becomes quickly evident with the hundreds of churches and monasteries scattered on the hilltops, grassy valleys and within the confines of the medieval towns.

ABOUT us
Elisa Paloschi is a Toronto based filmmaker and photographer who spends most of her time traveling far from the city, including a 10 year stint in Italy.  While living in Rome and Florence, Elisa explored central Italy extensively and continues to do so with yearly visits to the place that feels more like home than anywhere else she knows.  She is fluent in Italian, has a deep understanding of the nuances of the Italian culture and dialects and in particular knows when yes means no and that a green light does not always give you right of way.  Elisa has designed and led photography and culinary tours to Italy since 2005.

Sonia Ter Hovanessian, originally from the U.K. came to Italy ten years ago and has made a home for herself in this intriguing and beautiful country. To keep herself out of trouble she divides her time between playing, teaching music & photography as well as designing and guiding biking tours and photographic tours in Europe. These include: Street Photography in London for Italians, and Tours around Italy. www.soniaterhovanessian.com
